Reservations:
On some trips we are able to accept reservations shortly
before departure, but most require weeks of advanced planning.
It is best to make reservations as early as possible. Call
to reserve the spaces you want, and we will hold them for
up to ten days pending your deposit.
Deposits:
A 25% deposit is due 30 days in advance for trips
in California and Oregon. When we receive your deposit,
we will send you a trip confirmation packet. The remainder
of your fare is required at least fourteen days before departure.
For trips in Mexico, Chile, Alaska, Idaho, and Arizona the
deposit is due at least 90 days prior. Deposits are nonrefundable
after the 30 and 90 day deadlines, respectively.
Group
discounts: To groups of twelve or more we offer two free spots.
In addition, with a group of 24 or more, we offer a ten percent
discount and two people go free. To qualify for this discount
, each group must have an organizer who: 1) Collects all monies
and mails them to us as a single payment (one check or money
order); 2) Distributes all trip information to members of
the group. We also offer discounts to children and families.
Transfers:
You may change your reservation to another river trip during
the same year with a $20 per person, per transfer fee, or
fill your spot with a person of your choice. No transfers
can be made after the final payment deadline has passed.
Cancellations:
No cash refunds. If you must cancel, you may be able to another
trip date with Wilderness Adventures. If you cancel at least
90 days before: 50% credit. At least 30 days before: 25%.
No credits for cancellations after 30 days prior to the trip
Returned
Checks: We charge $25 for all returned checks.
Responsibility/Liability:
We do some of the most challenging adventures in the world
and have maintained a perfect safety record. While safety
is our utmost concern, All adventures in these types of activities
do present potential risks. You must realize that accidents
or illness my occur. We assume assume no responsibility for
injury or illness to trip members, their personal belongings,
or for time or expenses incurred. We require each participant
to sign a LIABILITY RELEASE FORM before embarking on an adventure.
We strongly recommend traveler's insurance to cover injury
or cancellation.
Non-Performance: We reserve the right to cancel
a trip or make changes in itinerary if necessary due to weather
conditions, water fluctuations, insufficient reservations,
or other factors beyond our control. Cancellation is unlikely,
but if we are forced to cancel, you may choose between: 1)
100% in kind refund (cash for cash/credit for credit); 2)
100% Wilderness Adventure credit held through the following
year. In such cases refunds will be held to the exact amount
actually paid to Wilderness Adventures and shall not be extended
to cover any costs incurred by the trip member.
Photographic
Release: Wilderness Adventures reserves the right to take
photographic or film records of any Wilderness Adventures
program. Each trip member agrees that Wilderness Adventures
may use such records for promotional and/or commercial purposes.
Equipment:
We use only the highest quality professional equipment, vehicles,
safety and emergency gear available.
Guides:
Our guides are accomplished outdoor professionals, extensively
trained in wilderness safety and hold current certification
in First Aid and C.P.R. Many are Emergency Medical Technicians.
What
to Bring: On receipt of your deposit, a detailed equipment
list will be sent to you describing what you should bring
to make your trip comfortable.
Medical:
It is imperative that our guest inform our office ahead of
time of any allergies or heath conditions that could be impacted
on the trip. We can handle almost anything if we know about
it ahead of time.
Food
and Beverages: We provide excellent hearty gourmet meals often
from our fireside Dutch ovens. Feel free to advise us of any
specific dietary requirements you or your group may have.
We supply a general selection of beverages on our trips. If
you wish to enjoy alcohol or special drinks, please bring
your own in unbreakable containers.
Gratuities:
Our guides work very hard to please you and appreciate
any feedback you care to give them, including a gratuity if
you desire. We definitely want to know how you felt about
your trip, including any suggestions you may have for improvement.
Permits:
Wilderness Adventures operates on National Forest Service
administered lands through special permits from the USFS;
Shasta-Trinity, Klamath and Siskiyou National Forest, The
Bureau of Land Management, Army Corps of Engineers, El Dorado
County, Tulare County and the California Department of Parks
and Recreation. Wilderness Adventures and its employees do
not discriminate by segregation or otherwise against any person
on he basis of race, color or national origin by curtailing
or refusing to furnish accommodations. Wilderness Adventures is an equal opportunity service provider.
Affiliates:
For a variety of reasons Wilderness Adventures does not have
permits to operate everywhere we would like our guests to
see. Very few of the trips we offer are conducted by our affiliates,
who's care, organization, equipment and skills combine
to offer trips that we are proud to call our own.
