California's best summertime Class 5. This stretch of the Trinity cuts through an enticing, formidable, sheer walled gorge called Burnt Ranch. Blocked by a maze of boulders, there are countless falls, holes, and choked chutes to negotiate. Participants must be experienced, physically fit, and ready for a powerful whitewater trip.
DIRECTIONS
From Redding drive west on Hwy. 299 approximately 70 miles to the town of Big Flat. Trinity Adventure Park will be on your left. Check in at the Wilderness Adventures Office. From Eureka drive north on Hwy. 101 about 15 miles. Take Hwy. 299 east approximately 80 miles to Big Flat. Trinity River Park will be on the right side of the road, about two miles east of Big Bar. Check in at the Wilderness Adventures Office .
