This Trinity River White Water Trip has fun and safe whitewater rapids for rafting enthusiasts. You will find gorgeous side creeks, sandy beaches, and splashy fun rapids. Inflatable kayaks are available by popular demand and due to the incredible salmon and steelhead fishing, we recommend that you bring your fishing gear for after the trip!

One Day Trinity River Rafting Trip

We will meet, prepare for our river voyage, and take a short ride to the put-in. Lifejackets will be fitted and a river safety and equipment lesson will be given. After this orientation we will board the rafts and head down river. We will meander past some side creeks and soak up some of the scenery as we prepare for some splashy fun in rapids such as The Slot and Double Eagle. Between rapids we will pull over and an elaborate lunch will be prepared along the river while you relax. Continuing on, Hell's Hole, Triple Drop, and Fish Tail provide more afternoon excitement before we wind down our day. We take-out at our meeting area where cold refreshments and your vehicles await.

Two Day Trinity River Rafting Trip

We will meet a little later and take our time. After enjoying some morning rapids, elaborate lunch, and beautiful sandy beaches, we will take time for some water play and a side hike or two. Continuing downstream, we will arrive at a gorgeous campsite on a large sandy beach. In camp the guides will set up kitchen and begin preparing a decadent meal. While in camp you can choose your sleeping site, fish, swim, play or just relax. The evening meal will be followed by dessert, campfire entertainment, and a peaceful night's sleep under the stars. In the morning the wonderful smell of coffee and breakfast will greet your senses. We will re-pack our gear and get ready for another exciting day on the river. This day includes the best of the whitewater with time to frolic in the sunshine. We will feast on another hearty lunch at a riverside sandy beach and continue down the final stretch of the river. When we reach the take-out ice cold drinks will be waiting and you will be back to your vehicles by mid-afternoon .

Trinity Special

Wilderness Adventures is proud to offer many river trips designed for the physically and mentally challenged.

Trips will be conducted by our staff of highly trained guides. All our guides have experience on extreme whitewater (Class IV & V) and are capable of making our Class I & II trips a safe and pleasurable adventure for anyone.

In addition to their training on extreme whitewater our guides are all First Aid/CPR certified, trained in swiftwater rescue, and are dedicated outdoor professionals.

Our float trips are being offered at two locations in Trinity County. We have an office on the Main Stem of the beautiful Trinity River, located at the Trinity Adventure Park. The second location is in conjunction with Zigler's Trails' End Resort in the Hyampom Valley on the magnificent South Fork of the Trinity River.

These adventures can be tailored to meet your needs for one, two, or three days. Advance planning for special needs (i.e., food, clothing, shelter, medical) will make your excursion a memorable adventure. We encourage all attending care providers to join in the experience.

Wilderness Adventures requires two weeks advance notice and a 25% non-refundable deposit. Basic rates are the same for all our guests with the following exceptions:

  1. Additional guide to guest ratio needed for a safe, secure trip.
  2. Special dietary needs or health requirements.
  3. Special overnight accommodations.

Pre-trip consultation will enable Wilderness Adventures to provide you with the most affordable trip possible. All trips are designed for a minimum of five guests.
